Regulator relaxes rules on insurers' investment in infrastructure

The China Insurance Regulatory Commission has revised rules to make it easier for insurers to invest in infrastructure projects, reported Reuters.

The move would "support and stabilize the economy," said the CIRC.

The regulator said that insurers will no longer need to obtain regulatory approval to invest in infrastructure and their scope of investment will also be expanded.
