Kenyan insurers not prepared to settle claims in 30 days

Several Kenyan insurers are not prepared to comply with the recent government proposal that requires them to settle claims within 30 days, reported The Standard Digital News.

Kenya's Insurance Regulatory Authority found that 53% of the general business liability claims took over 90 days to be paid.

Only 20% of such claims were paid within 30 days, said the regulator in a report.
