Dennis Harwick, president of the Captive Insurance Companies Association, will retire from the organization at the end of June 2017, CICA announced.
“It has been a singular honor and privilege to serve as president of CICA over the last decade of change within both CICA and the captive insurance industry,” Mr. Harwick said Thursday in a statement.
A successor to Mr. Harwick, who has been head of the Minneapolis-based 371-member association since 2005, has not been named yet.
“With this amount of lead time, we can ensure that the transition will be smooth with no diminution of member service,” CICA Chair Michael Bemi, who is also president and CEO of The National Catholic Risk Retention Group Inc., in Lisle, Illinois, said in the statement.
