BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insurance Australia Group Ltd. has restructured its organization and made changes to its leadership team, effective Wednesday, IAG Managing Director and CEO Peter Harmer announced.

IAG now has separate commercial and personal lines divisions for Australia, the Sydney-based insurer said Tuesday in a statement.

Ben Bessell is chief executive of IAG's Australian business division. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Mr. Bessell was previously acting CEO of commercial insurance.

The divisions are supported by three units, according to the statement:

• Customer Labs is responsible for the customer experience strategy and product innovation, brand architecture across the group, and new business incubations and venturing. Julie Batch leads Customer Labs as chief customer officer, responsible for developing customer propositions and marketing strategies. Previously, Ms. Batch was chief analytics officer.

• Digital Labs provides digital and design innovation while identifying and harnessing disruptive technology. Digital Labs also is accountable for building digital apps and ecosystems, and simplifying existing core platforms. It is led by Claire Rawlins, who has been named group executive for digital and technology. Previously, Ms. Rawlins was chief information officer and reported to the CEO of IAG Labs.

• Operations is responsible for claims and operational functions such as procurement and supply chain management. Andy Cornish will act as chief of the operations division until Mark Milliner joins IAG in mid-2016. Mr. Cornish was previously CEO of personal insurance.

IAG's Asia and New Zealand businesses will move into a new international division that will focus on expanding its established presence in Malaysia, Thailand, India, Indonesia and Vietnam and maintaining its presence in the New Zealand market, according to the statement.
