BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Lockton Cos. L.L.C. has promoted Justin VanOpdorp to be its first chief analytics officer, while former Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. executive Mark Moitoso has been named senior vice president and analytics practice leader.

In his role as chief analytics officer, Mr. VanOpdorp will be responsible for Lockton's business intelligence and analytics, while Mr. Moitoso will lead Lockton's property/casualty analytics team and provide advice to clients on their property/casualty insurance programs and claims, the Kansas City, Missouri-based broker said Thursday in a statement.

Previously, Mr. VanOpdorp was Lockton's senior vice president and analytics practice leader. Mr. Moitoso was executive vice president and general manager of national accounts for Liberty Mutual Insurance, according to the statement.

Messrs. VanOpdorp and Moitoso are based in Kansas City, according to a Lockton spokesman.

“These appointments are part of our ongoing investment in analytics that help our clients improve their operations, make informed business decisions, and reduce costs,” Glenn Spencer, chief operating officer of Lockton, said in the statement. “Justin is a proven leader who has built a strong analytics team that delivers results for clients. This expanded role will help our clients and our business around the world. We are excited that Mark Moitoso is joining our business. He is a respected insurance leader who will expand our analytics capabilities and deliver practical solutions to clients.”
