Nicolas Aubert elevated to CEO of Willis Ltd.

Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. has appointed Nicolas Aubert as CEO of Willis Ltd., its principal U.K. insurance and reinsurance entity, the brokerage announced Monday.
Mr. Aubert will continue as CEO of Willis GB, the Willis unit that includes facultative, London specialty and U.K. retail business.
Mr. Aubert takes over from Rodney Baker-Bates, chairman of Willis Ltd., who had been in the role on an interim basis since Steven Hearn left in June to become global CEO of London-based brokerage Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford Ltd.
Mr. Aubert joined Willis in January from American International Group Inc., where he was chief operating officer of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“Nicolas is a widely recognized and highly regarded leader in our industry and his wealth of experience in the United Kingdom and abroad, combined with his strong knowledge of the market and evolving needs of clients, make him the ideal candidate to lead Willis Group's largest U.K.-regulated entity,” Willis Ltd. Chairman Rodney Baker-Bates said in a statement.
