We're looking for the best and brightest risk managers. If you know someone who deserves recognition as an outstanding risk management practitioner, you can nominate him or her for the 2016 Business Insurance Risk Manager of the Year® Award.
The Risk Manager of the Year® and Risk Management Honor Roll® awards are presented annually by Business Insurance. Next year's awards will be presented in April during the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc.'s annual Conference & Exhibition in San Diego.
The Risk Manager of the Year® Award was first presented in 1978 to increase recognition of the risk management profession and to recognize outstanding performance in the risk management field. The Risk Management Honor Roll® awards were introduced in 1983 to recognize other exceptional risk managers.
Nominations are open to anyone involved in risk management for an organization. The individual need not be a full-time risk management practitioner, for example a CFO or treasurer that also carries out the risk management function would be eligible, but the candidate must be a full-time employee of the organization.
Administrators and executive directors of self-insurance funds or self-insurance pools also are eligible.
The candidate may be nominated by anyone familiar with his or her work, such as a superior, a member of the risk management staff, a colleague with another company or a broker, insurer or other service provider.
The deadline for nominations is Dec. 2.
