Internet security analysts have said that cyber espionage and cyber attacks are increasing in Latin America, reported Reuters.
Dmitry Bestuzhev, head of research at security firm Kaspersky Lab Z.A.O. for Latin America, said that there has been a rise in “Trojans” that are disguised as malicious software in the financial sector. Criminals from Brazil and Peru "produce the majority of malicious code and attack not only their countries but also neighboring ones," said Mr Bestuzhev. In Peru, hackers are teaming up with criminals in Russia and Eastern Europe, added Mr. Bestuzhev.
