China’s insurance industry recorded a 19.27% increase in insurance premium volume to 1.370 trillion Chinese yuan ($220.74 billion) in the first half of 2015, reports Chinese Financial News.
The results were announced by China Insurance Regulatory Commission.
Profits grew by 203.91% to CNY 229.78 billion ($37.01 billion), while total assets rose 12.51% to CNY 11.429 trillion ($1.841 trillion).
The business structure was further optimized in the first half apart from the rapid growth of the insurance business.
Meanwhile, expenditures increased 19.04% to CNY 420.41 billion ($67.72 billion).
