Net profit of Sava Re Group up 32%

Slovenia-based Sava Re Group has said that its gross written premium increased 4.5% to €152.5 million ($166.3 million) in the first quarter of 2015, reported Xprimm.com.

Sava Re mainly attributed the increase to its Macedonian and Montenegrin operations as well as its international reinsurance business. SAVA Re's net profit totaled €10 million for the period, up 32% year on year. The group's reinsurance operations contributed €2.1 million to the growth in profit before tax, while its Slovenian nonlife operations contributed €1.7 million.
