Malaysia-based Islamic Financial Services Board has said in a report that the marine takaful sector is likely to expand further, in line with growing exports of liquefied natural gas, Asia Insurance Review reports.

"Generally, the marine takaful segment offers ample opportunities, given the role of the GCC and Malaysia as major trading hubs," said the report. However, marine takaful still remains a relatively small industry across all key takaful regions, reports Asia Insurance Review.
