Workplace wellness has become a top priority for many companies and employees, and workers in London looking for ways to reduce their stress levels can rediscover a little glimpse of childhood by diving into a giant pit filled with 80,000 plastic balls.
Creative agency Pearlfisher set up the adult ball pit – which can hold up to 30 adults — at its art gallery in west London until the middle of February to enable grown-ups to “recharge.”
Pearlfisher also is doing its bit for corporate social responsibility: For every visitor to the ball pit, it will donate £1 ($1.51) to the charity Right to Play, according to the company's website.
It seems that U.K. workers are making the most of the chance to re-connect with their inner child — all the tickets to the ball pit have been taken.
More employers believe their workplace wellness programs have had a positive effect on their employees' health and reduced health care costs, but fewer are calculating their programs' total return on investment, according to new survey data.
