Latin American insurance market likely to recover in 2015: Swiss Re

Swiss Re Ltd. said in a recent report that the weak growth in the Latin American insurance market in 2014 is likely to be followed by a marked recovery in 2015, BNamericas reports.

The region's property and casualty segment is forecast to see a 2.4% growth in direct premium volume in 2014, down from 7.5% in 2013.

The segment in Latin America is estimated to witness a growth of 4.1% in 2015 and 5.2% in 2016, reports BNamericas.
