Donna Nadeau named COO of XL North America property/casualty insurance operations

XL Group P.L.C. has named Donna Nadeau chief operating officer of its North America property/casualty insurance business, the Dublin-based company said Friday.
In her new role, Ms. Nadeau will manage the operational functions of XL Group's North America property/casualty business, including property, excess/surplus, environmental, North America programs, construction, excess casualty, and global risk management, XL Group said in a statement. Based in New York, she will report to Joe Tocco, the unit's CEO.
She previously served as chief actuary for XL North America property/casualty and succeeds Mike Garceau, recently named chief financial officer of XL Group's global insurance operations.
“In the last few years, Donna dramatically changed how our actuaries work with our business leaders and underwriters. Her incredible analytic skills, knowledge of our businesses and attention to operational effectiveness will serve our team well as she steps in to our COO role,” Mr. Tocco said in the statement.
Ms. Nadeau joined XL Group in 2003 and was named a managing director to XL Group's Leadership Council in May 2014.
