Economic damage worse in El Nino and La Nina years: Study

A new study has concluded that around 44% of the earth's surface sees worse economic damage during years when the El Nino and La Nina occur, Blue & Green Tomorrow reports.

Flood risk is expected to rise in nations exposed to this risk as climate change-related effects worsen. The research said Africa, Australia, parts of South America and western United States are among regions most at risk of El Nino Southern Oscillation's effects, Blue & Green Tomorrow reported.
