BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

RGA Reinsurance gets nod to open branch office in China

The China Insurance Regulatory Commission has given approval to RGA Reinsurance Co., a subsidiary of Reinsurance Group of America Inc., to open a branch office in Shanghai, reported Zacks.com.

Through this move, the company can secure opportunities in the expanding insurance market in China. RGA Reinsurance anticipates net premium growth rates of 10% to 15% by 2016 in its Asia business. Meanwhile, A.M. Best Co. has assigned a financial strength rating of A+ to two other RGA units – RGA Americas Reinsurance Co. Ltd. and RGA Atlantic Reinsurance Co. Ltd.
