Marsh names exec to lead research for its workers compensation excellence center

Tom Ryan has been named workers compensation market research leader for Marsh L.L.C.'s Workers' Compensation Center of Excellence, the insurance broker said Friday.
Mr. Ryan replaces Mr. Mark Walls, who returned to Safety National Casualty Corp in June.
As market research leader, Mr. Ryan will “oversee research and distribution of content on emerging issues, federal and state regulatory changes, and prevailing market conditions, as well as other topics related to the workers' compensation challenges facing our clients,” Marsh said in a statement.
Mr. Ryan, who has been with Marsh Risk Consulting for more than 20 years, was most recently the Northeast leader of the casualty claims consulting practice.
Mr. Ryan is based in New York. He'll report to Christopher Flatt, managing director and leader of the Workers' Compensation Center of Excellence.
