Nigeria's National Insurance Commission has said 40 insurers under its supervision have yet to receive approvals for their 2013 financial reports, ThisDay Live reported.

This violates the June 30 deadline set for the submission and approval of the reports for the prior year. Only 19 insurers have gained approval for their 2013 financial reports by the commission as required by relevant insurance laws as of July 9.
