Bahrain: Arab Insurance Group registers 41% rise in net profit

Bahrain-based Arab Insurance Group B.S.C. posted a 41% year-on-year increase in net profit to $12.6 million in the first three quarters of 2013, Gulf Daily News reported.

The growth was mostly driven by its reinsurance activities. Taking into account its subsidiary, Takaful Re, the group's underwriting result was $6 million during the period. Gross premiums written during the period amounted to $259 million.
