BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Haiyan unlikely to dent major reinsurers: A.M. Best

A.M. Best Co. Inc. has said that insured losses from Super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines are "expected to be minimal" given the country’s low nonlife insurance penetration, Asia Insurance Review reported.

The ratings agency said that one preliminary estimate placed "insured losses at $2 billion," though it was too early to make proper estimates. It also said the impact will be minor for global reinsurers but relatively higher for regional reinsurers.
